At our rental facility on the Rocky River, we have gone to great lengths to ensure that we are as welcoming and informative as possible. We provide all paddlers with a concise, educational and entertaining safety video specific to their craft. Afterwards, the staff provide an additional overview of weather conditions, paddling rules of the road, a maps of the river and Lake Erie paddling scope, and are happy to answer any questions. All paddlers get a practical demonstration at the launch and other tips to make sure their on-water experience is safe and enjoyable! For our classes, lessons and tours - these experiences are tiered to ensure that there are offerings available for the brand new beginner and the seasoned paddler alike. We encourage you to reach out to our staff to discuss your specific goals and we can tailor the experience to match. We are excited to work with anyone to pursue their paddling dreams!
Our rental facility can accommodate large groups depending on availability (groups are encouraged to make reservations as far in advance as possible). Groups can also reach out to our staff to inquire about booking tours for groups at one of our traditional locations - Merwin's Wharf, Rocky River Marina, Whiskey Island, or the Lake Erie Islands - or at another destination they have in mind. We do our best to stretch our hours and our season to accommodate school groups and others.
Our rental facility includes a paved sidewalk which leads directly down to the water's edge, facilitating a smooth and accessible launch.
